Leaders across South Canterbury business and economic development have looked closely at the Intentional Leadership Series. Their words are below — unedited, and shared with their permission.
The Chamber is very supportive of your programme. It is well designed, fills a gap locally in senior leadership development, and the intent behind it is both needed and admirable.
The Intentional Leadership Series is a high-quality leadership development experience. I personally believe the basis for this programme is aligned to best-in-class modern leadership capabilities and I would highly recommend it for developing leaders in our Region.
I see a high value in developing leadership capabilities within our region as we have both wonderful businesses and high potential talents.
Venture Timaru’s role is to help grow this district’s economy — and that growth is only ever as strong as the leadership behind it. We see it constantly in our business attraction and investment work: the businesses that scale well are the ones led by people who’ve deliberately grown their own capability alongside their organisation’s. The Intentional Leadership Series fills a genuine gap for South Canterbury. It means our business owners and emerging executives can access high calibre leadership development locally — they can develop themselves right here, with peers who understand the same market, the same constraints, and the same opportunities. Venture Timaru support the Lead to Grow Collective, and encourage any leader serious about their own growth, and their organisation’s, to take a close look.
Over the years, I have invested heavily in leadership development, both for myself and for my team. Good leadership doesn’t happen by accident; it requires deliberate investment and ongoing development. To have an opportunity of this quality available right here in South Canterbury is something local business leaders should take advantage of. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have worked with Malcolm over many years and I know his content and delivery will add tremendous value to any organisation.
My advice is simple: don’t overthink it. Do it.
