Privacy policy.

Draft — pending legal review. This policy reflects what the first release of the Growth Blindspot Indicator actually does and the Privacy Act 2020, but should be reviewed by a New Zealand privacy practitioner and finalised once the charitable trust is registered. Items in [brackets] are placeholders to complete before publication.

1. About this policy

The Lead to Grow Collective ("the Collective", "we", "us"), is a New Zealand leadership development organisation based in the Central South Island. The Lead to Grow Collective is in the process of seeking registration as a charitable trust under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website (leadtogrow.co.nz) and the Growth Blindspot Indicator, why we collect it, and your rights. We follow the Privacy Act 2020.

2. What we collect

When you use the Growth Blindspot Indicator we collect only your contact details — the name and email you give us, and optionally your business name and role — and how far through the questions you got (whether you finished, or how many you completed). When you send us a message through the website, we collect what you put in that form.

3. What we don't collect or keep

Your answers to the Growth Blindspot Indicator are worked out and shown in your own browser, and emailed to you. They are not sent to us and we do not store them. We keep no database of your responses or scores.

4. Why we collect it

To email you your results; to let you know your interest has reached us and follow up if you'd like; and, only if you opt in, to tell you about the Intentional Leadership Series.

5. The Growth Blindspot Indicator

It is a structured self-reflection tool — not a validated psychometric, and not an assessment of you as a person. Your results are prompts for a conversation, not verdicts, and they belong to you. We do not use them to select participants, rank people or profile anyone — we do not even receive them.

6. Marketing consent

We only send you programme information if you tick the box asking us to. Every marketing email has a working unsubscribe link, and you can email us to opt out at any time. Opting out does not affect your ability to use the tool.

7. Who handles your information

To run the website and send emails we use trusted third-party providers for website hosting and email delivery. Some operate outside New Zealand, which means your contact details may be processed overseas. We only use providers that commit to protecting your information, and we share only what is needed to provide the service. We do not sell your information and we do not buy contact lists.

8. How long we keep it

We keep the contact details you give us for as long as we are in contact with you about the programme, and we remove them on request. Because we do not store your Growth Blindspot Indicator answers, there is nothing there to keep or delete.

9. Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond within 20 working days, as the Privacy Act requires.

10. Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies that are necessary for it to work and to keep it secure. We do not run third-party advertising or marketing trackers.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the Collective and its tools develop — including when the full Growth Blindspot Indicator platform launches, which will store and analyse data differently and will be covered by an updated policy at that time.

12. Contact us

For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, email info@leadtogrow.co.nz. A named Privacy Officer and postal address will be added once the trust is registered.
